We decided to enlist Trixie Lou's help, but she really didn't understand what all the fuss was about. A contest... what for? .... some dog treats?!
Then, inexplicably, Tori perked up and became interested.
(most likely out of sheer jealousy since Trixie Lou showed an interest...)

Ok, I think Tori is trying to tell me something? She feels strongly that there should be more than one winner... only problem, we don't have enough prizes! Let's try yet again...
Now she's getting rather obnoxious about this... three winners??!! No, Tori, I fear we need to discuss this a bit.
She's not listening to me, I can tell... LALALALALALALALA, I am tuning you out, I don't think it's fair that only ONE person can win...
Finally, I think she is seeing things my way, albeit in a begrudging manner.
"Fine, it always has to be YOUR way, doesn't it??!"

Far Side of Fifty!
A big thanks to everyone who took the time to enter the contest. Remember, I'll be doing this every now and then. My goal is to have a giveaway every 6-8 weeks, so keep your eyes peeled and be sure to enter the next time!
P.S. Yes, Tori Mae REALLY did pick the winner. :-) She reminded me this is not normally HER job and I assured her she would only need to do this very infrequently. Her regular day job is catching frisbees, and she is one of the lucky ones who just happens to LOVE her job....
P.S.S. I had two Anonymous comments which I included in the drawing -- I know who the first one was, but the 2nd one, who wrote "I love tea!".... not sure who that was??

Great post!! Loved following the excitement of a name being picked. :)
ReplyDeleteToo funny! How did you get her to pick that winner? Did you smear them with liver sausage first? Lol, that's the only way Xena would've let me disturb her nap! Cute post!
ReplyDeleteYay for Farside of fifty! bravo! And your helpers actually did a very good job! You could have given that lovely bowl to that second winner (me?) :)
ReplyDeleteThis was a really cute way to announce the winner. And thanks for visiting my site.
ReplyDeleteWell give Tori Mae a treat from me! I WON!! Thank you so much, I loved the suspense of it all especially the little nap! I will email you my address! I had no idea today was going to be my lucky day!:)
ReplyDeleteThat was fun! I am not sure that my cats would be so agreeable or helpful.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to the lucky winner!
My dog likes eating up the winners' names!
ReplyDeleteI love the way you documented the drawing - how long did it take?! Jealousy always gets kids moving - at least it does with ours! Someday, I will have a blog and I will no longer be anonymous! Great job....
ReplyDeleteI love this post~~~too adorable..Congrats to the Far Side of Fifty~~~
ReplyDeleteActually it didn't take that long, Tori seemed to know what to do pretty quick. ;-) Maybe next time I'll let one of the horses draw the winner, haha.... Thanks again to everyone who entered!!!
