DID SOMEONE MOVE MINNESOTA TO THE MIDWEST?
SNOWFALL AMOUNTS OF 6 INCHES OR HIGHER ARE POSSIBLE BY EARLY SATURDAY MORNING... WITH THE HIGHEST SNOWFALL AMOUNTS AFFECTING MAINLY SOUTH CENTRAL KANSAS (that would be us). RAIN WILL BEGIN TO CHANGE OVER TO SNOW BY FRIDAY AFTERNOON AND CONTINUE INTO SATURDAY MORNING. THE COMBINATION OF HEAVY SNOW AND GUSTY NORTH WINDS WILL CAUSE BLOWING SNOW... AND REDUCED VISIBILITIES AROUND ONE QUARTER OF A MILE OR LESS AT TIMES. THIS COULD CREATE HAZARDOUS DRIVING CONDITIONS ACROSS THE REGION WITH NEAR BLIZZARD CONDITIONS POSSIBLE.
We have had beautiful weather for at least a MONTH! This new weather forecast is oh so cruel. And we have SO much to do outdoors this weekend, it's not even laughable. Now we will be pressed for time (there are very strong reasons for this).
[sigh]
So in celebration of our upcoming crappy weather which has the potential to keep me housebound, and therefore gives me every excuse in the world to blog my little heart out this weekend, I think a mini giveaway is in order.
Here's a fun lil giveaway which includes a magnet, two greeting cards (one of each design) and The Country Store, a lovely hardbound book with tons of photos. Divided into sections (The Kitchen, The Bathroom, The Pantry and Seasonal Celebrations), this book provides step-by-step sequences illustrating the projects and recipes.
"The Country Store captures our yearning for a simpler, more satisfying way of living in tune with the rhythm of the seasons and the spirit of nature, and provides practical instruction for creating that oldtime country feeling with food, gifts, beauty products and home decorations."

A big thank-you to everyone who reads and follows my blog, and I hope you enjoy this giveaway! :-)
First off, I'm not entering this contest....just leaving a message. You have the best giveaways! Oh, and I can't be a "follower" because I have wordpress instead of Blogger and it keeps telling me I have to have sign up for blogger. I'm just sayin.....just in case you wonder why I'm not drinking the blue kool-aid. :)
ReplyDeleteLove your giveaways...and your wonderful blog!! :)
ReplyDeleteYay!! A giveaway! This is my first time entering one of these. Got my fingers crossed!!! lol
ReplyDeleteHope y'all are able to get everything done and don't get snowed in too bad! But I'm looking forward to the posts and pics that are sure to come!!
I follow your blog . . . so I'm entering! I hope that weather stays way to the north!
ReplyDeleteYikes, maybe it will swing north and you will have warm temps soon. Our bag of ice melt is still sitting on my front porch--I am afraid if I touch too soon I will attract a last winter storm of the season.
ReplyDeleteHi Susan!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you're getting Chicago weather. It's cold here, too, and windy, but no snow. Good weekend for you to stay in and snuggle with your cowboy!
I was at the mall today and stopped at Anthropolgie especially to check out the volcano candle. You are right, it is a wonderful scent! I can't wait to save up enough money to buy one! OMG, they are pretty pricey! I can't imagine with shipping how much one must set you back. Hope they last a long time! I will get myself one some day!
Ooo, count me in. Maybe Friday will be my lucky day! :)
ReplyDeleteSure hope you don't get the bad weather that's called for ... it's the kind that gets dangerous. Stay warm and off the roads!
Sure hope you stay safe and warm during your stormy weekend!
ReplyDeleteI would be delighted to join in your fab giveaway...however, I have the "Country Store" and would love to see someone else enjoy this lovely book.
Also, thanks so much for your kind comments on my blog!
Hate you are going to be house bound. Think we may be too, but just rain.
ReplyDeleteYes, on the give away!

I left a message but it disappeared! Just wanted to invite you down here to Western Oklahoma where we only expect 6-12 in. of snow. You can join me by the fire!
ReplyDeleteTake Care,
Susan
Sounds fun! Not the snow part, although I prefer that to rain any day. :)
ReplyDeleteSnow? Yikes!! Hope your weekend is not too wrecked!
ReplyDeleteYour giveaways are so cute!
Ugh this weather stinks! You are so right the weather has been really nice almost all month. The goats are kidding later this year than I like but I thought, "well at least it won't be so cold"...WRONG. So I am going to be outside in this weather over the weekend keeping a close eye on the expectant moms & drying off babies so they don't freeze. I have a bunch that will probably kid tonight through Sunday.
ReplyDeleteOk, sorry for the little weather rant there but I was already in spring mode here! I hate surprises...well nasty, cold blizzard like surprises anyway. LOL. You are so generous with your giveaways. Please enter me...maybe I will win and it will get me out of this grumpy butt mood I am in over the weather! hehe. Stay safe this weekend!
