They don't know evil or jealousy or discontent. To sit with a dog on a hillside on a glorious afternoon is to be back in Eden, where doing nothing was not boring - it was peace. ~Milan Kundera
You haven't met my dogs! Grace swallowed a pigeon whole yesterday, which is bad enough, but she is on a single protein diet and it isn't pigeon. :~) I LOVE my dogs, I DO!
Just found your blog. I love it! I, too, am from Ohio. Grew up outside of Toledo, in a small town called Perrysburg. I now live in east Tn. We have 150 acres, a 110 year old farm house. 4 Arabian horses, our mare is due to foal in 4 weeks! We also have 3 dogs and oodles of cats!!! Whew! We are living a very simple life here and loving it. I am so glad you found your soul-mate. Sounds like country life is loving you! Come visit us sometime at Our front porch-would love to have you! Many blessings, Misha
We're dog lovers over here so this post is right up my alley. The best part of having a dog for your best friend is their unconditional love. No matter the mood you're in, they still greet you at the door with a wagging tail and sit by your side through thick and thin.
That is a great photo (aren't they all?). I understand the love between a dog and its master, but as a non pet owner for most of my life, I am just the littlest bit afraid of dogs. I won't scream from fear, but have a healthy wariness. What's your take on cats?
Oh Susan this is the cutest picture ever :-)Such a beautiful shot...have you seen the movie: Marley and Me? I just saw it a couple of days ago and it's a wonderful story about the magical relationship between people and dog..

Now, I just love it when all my comments from the last 10 posts appear and hog up all the limelight on your sidebar. ROFL!
ReplyDeleteBut hey, I just left like 10 comments and the top commenter number hasn't changed one bit.
ReplyDeleteWhat's up with that???
Love the dog photo--he/she looks comfortably curious.
