I just love to mix things up... so in that vein, I'm posting my SkyWatch Friday photos on THIS blog, instead of my other blog. Yeah, you can see I like to shake things up sometimes.
We had some storms pass through here two nights ago... sometimes the clouds were pretty intense. I think we got over an inch of rain in less than an hour!
I love the big sky view that you enjoy. Things are a bit more closed in here by comparison. Happy Thursday!
ReplyDeleteThat's a weird band of light splitting the blue sky. Cool.
ReplyDeleteAmazing "blues" =)
ReplyDeleteThis is what I imagine tornado skies to look like so I would be running for cover. No tornados in California so I don't really know.
ReplyDeleteThose are so pretty. That top picture looks like the sky is about ready to lay down and cover the ground. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteHappy SWF!
These are some intense clouds. Lovely shots.
ReplyDeleteCity to Country... dreaming the same!
ReplyDelete~a beautiful weekend to you~ Maria
your photos are so gorgeous - d'ya get any of those nasty Kansas storms out that way?
ReplyDeleteNice to see the light shine brightly in the little house on the prairie with the ominous clouds risin up.
ReplyDeletethose storm clouds are intense. I love pics of grey skies when they are done right as these are.
ReplyDeleteOkay that first one gives definite rise to thoughts of the "not in Kansas anymore" line!
ReplyDeleteThe second shot is so much more dramatic with the house lights on. Nicely done.
ReplyDeleteThat second photo is so great - full of drama and atmosphere!
ReplyDeleteNice little house in the midst of the field. Good shots!
ReplyDeleteWith my years spent as a young one on the plains, we became pretty good at reading the sky. You never wanted to be caught outside on your bicycle with a nasty summer storm approaching.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you all do your share of mowing as well...
Very cool shots - Awesome clouds!
ReplyDeleteHappy SWF!
Awesome skies !!!
ReplyDeleteIn that first one, it looks as if the clouds are about to come down and touch the ground..
We're a bit lower in the "alley" than you are, and tornadoes are a tiny bit less frequent. But skies like the ones you shot would have me checking the radar pretty frequently. I do love the openness of the land in your pictures, though. All you need is Toto to make the scenes complete . . . Happy SWF.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photo's!!
ReplyDeleteHappy SWF and have a great weekend!!
Great sky watch pics. I love a stormy sky!
ReplyDeleteI love that little house on the prairie shot.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures! I really enjoyed seeing them.
ReplyDeleteEven in their anger, the clouds still gave away their beauty complimented by that lil house in the prairie.
ReplyDeleteThanks for leaving kind comment at Skywatch Friday #47.
